Set off on an exciting Campervan Hire Australia Road trip from Melbourne towards Daylesford

Explore breathtakingly beautiful Daylesford and the majestic Macedon Ranges on your next Australia Campervan Hire holiday and discover the natural attractions, boutique wineries and mineral springs. Daylesford and the Macedon Ranges offer an extensive range of outdoor activities.

As I set out on a trip with my Campervan for Hire from Melbourne I was looking forward to a great driving holiday around Victoria. I set out on the Western Ring Road sited off the Tullamarine Freeway and followed the signs towards Daylesford and an hour and a half’s drive later I entered the sluggish country town situated in Spa Country.

I spent the first day of my Australia campervan hire holiday exploring Daylesford’s old-world shops and sampling some good food. Follow your appetite to this wonderfully indulgent region with its amazing seasonal fare, excellent wines and a spectacular country backdrop.

There are quite a few things to do in this charming region. Benjamin Bandicoot is a must visit if you prefer gorgeous mementoes. A stopover at Ex Libris Prints is a must as it specialises in 17th-20th Century traditional prints of architectural, Australian, ornamental and botanical subjects. Sweet Decadence at Lacantro offers superb handmade chocolates as well as cakes, chocolate novelties, biscuits which are freshly prepared on the premises.

RedBeard Historic Bakery is a must visit spot on your Campervan Hire Australia holiday around Daylesford. Pop into this famous bakery and enjoy a flavoursome lunch, stock up on the fantastic local organic bread and glimpse the baking techniques of the past.

For ultimate relaxation and rejuvenation plus a spot of indulgence you must visit Daylesford. A trip to Spa Country is incomplete without the spa and treatments. Select the most revitalising treatment so that you are suitably re-energized to travel around the region and glimpse its attractions.

Explore the quaint villages which offer country-style hospitality and picturesque streetscapes bursting with character. You will be amazed as you view the bluestones of past Swiss-Italian migrants and the historic leftovers of the gold rush. Browse the fascinating art galleries and glimpse the cultural heritage sights and stop for coffee and a locally-sourced treat on your trip.

Set off on a leisurely walk through the rugged bush land and painstakingly tended gardens of this region. There are lots of fine dining opportunities at some of Australia’s finest restaurants and I interacted with the local winemakers and tasted the fresh produce at the roadside stalls and farm gates as I explored the region on my Campervan Rental AU holiday.

You must visit Frangos & Frangos for the finest modern Mediterranean, Australian and European cuisine and stopover at The Avant Garden bookshop which is an ideal retreat for bookworms. Enjoy a leisurely walk around the regional gardens and stopover at Hanging Rock.

End your campervan hire Australia trip to Daylesford and the Macedon Ranges with a reward from the farm gates and providores along with prized vintage collectibles. Capture the quintessence of the mineral springs during your Australia Campervan Hire Holiday around Daylesford and the Macedon Ranges. Enjoy your holiday!
